Graduated at the University of Udine in Civil Engineering, PhD in Chemical Technology and new materials. He worked as civil-environmental engineer consultant for some years before obtaining a fellowship at the Department of Chemical Science and Technology at the University of Udine and a Post-Doctoral fellowship from 1998 to 2002.

Person in charge of many research conventions, one Spin-off, contracts, national and international collaborations and academic activities.

Member of Academic Assembly of CISM (International Centre for Mechanical Science). Member of Council for the PhD Program: “Environmental and Energy Engineering Science” (University of Udine).

Author of various research papers, monographs, patents and conference contributions.

Referee of national and international journals, he is serving as reviewer of many reputed journals and as editorial member of open journals.

At present in the position of Associate Professor of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Udine, teacher in official courses for students of engineering and medicine at the University of Udine. Person in charge of the “Environmental Pollution and Treatment” group of the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Environment. Chief of national and international learning and research projects.

Main research interests are experimental and modelling applications in the field of: monitoring and biomonitoring water bodies; water, wastewater and sludge treatment; liquid wastes treatment by oxidation technologies; disinfection of water and wastewater; reuse of water and sludge; energy from co-digestion.
